Kathmandu, 5 February: Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal on Saturday offered the Physical Planning Ministry instead of the Home Ministry allotted for the Rastriya Swatantra Party. At a meeting with RSP chair Rabi Lamichhane on Saturday, Dahal made a new request asking Lamichhane to give up the claim on the Home Ministry.
Following the new development, the RSP central committee and parliamentary committee meeting was held the same day but it was unable to decide on the new offer.
Earlier, RSP had given an ultimatum of quitting the government if the party will not get the Home portfolio. The two-day ultimatum expired on Saturday.
RSP has called a meeting today again to decide on the party’s support to the government or quitting the government.
