Kathmandu, 3 February: After Prime Minister and Maoist Party chair Pushpakamal Dahal started to develop cordial relations with the Nepali Congress leaders, relations between UML chair K.P. Sharma Oli and PM Dahal have become cold.
Oli, the coordinator of the ruling alliance mechanism, is asking PM Dahal for handing over the home portfolio to the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) as per the previous agreement, however, Dahal denies Oli’s quest.
PM Dahal believes that NC would come to rescue him if UML quit the alliance. Deuba, on the other hand, is keenly waiting to break the present alliance.
Be that as it may, Indian intelligence is the key element behind the present political game in Nepal.
First of all, India wants a comfortable figure for the post of president and then giving entry to the NC in the government by ousting UML.
NC leader Sekhar Koirala said that his party will join the government if it gets a home portfolio.
After all, Nepali politics is running under greater Indian interests.
