‘Don’t make ill-attempts to destabilize social harmony in Lumbini’

Kathmandu, 31 January: The Buddhist community has protested against the organizing of a programme that is said to feature Indian Hindu guru Moraribapu reciting Ramkatha (Story of the Lord Ram) in Lumbini – the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.

Issuing separate statements on Tuesday, the Dharmodaya Sabha and Yuwa Bouddha Samuha, Kathmandu said the programme said to be held in the newly-constructed assembly hall in Lumbini on 4-12 February would not only hurt the faith and trust of Nepali Buddhist community but also not contribute in any way to maintain tolerance and harmony. The two organizations have also urged all concerned not to make the ill-attempt to carry out such activities.
