Kathmandu, 30 January: The Election Commission has decided to conduct the presidential election on 9 March. The Commission has made public the election schedule today.
As President Bidya Devi Bhandari is completing her five-year tenure on 13 March, four days earlier to it the Commission has decided to hold the election for a new president.
Accordingly, the election of the deputy president is scheduled for 17 March. VP Pun is going to complete the five-year tenure on 18 March.
