Kathmandu, 29 January: Rabi Lamichhane has obtained a new Nepali citizenship certificate from the Kathmandu District Administration Office today.
The Supreme Court rejected giving recognition to his old citizenship certificate saying that the old citizenship certificate was automatically suspended after he obtained American citizenship. Following the Supreme Court verdict, Lamichhane lost the status of a member of the house of representatives.
