One died, dozen houses damaged by an earthquake in West Nepal today

Kathmandu, 24 January: One woman died and dozens of houses have been damaged from an earthquake today in Bajura, West Nepal.

Jamuna Rokaya, around 35, of Gaumul Rural Municipality 2 died due to the quake today. 

An M5.9 quake with epicentre at Maila of Himali Rural Municipality, Bajura also damaged above a dozen houses in Bajura, Achham, Bajhang and other surrounding districts.

The quake occurred at 2:43 PM today. 

The shock of the earthquake was felt in Karnali and Lumbini and Far West provinces. The Indian media reported that the shock of the earthquake was felt as far as the Indian capital, New Delhi.
