
Kathmandu, 21 January: Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s lawmaker Indira Rana Magar has been elected as Deputy Speaker. She garnered 166 votes while her opponent Mukta Kumari Yadav of Nepali Congress got 97 votes, as announced by the Speaker awhile ago.
Out of 275 members of the House of Representatives, 264 participated in the election. Prem Suwal, lawmaker of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, remained neutral.
