‘Agitation for non-payment of loans is a financial crime’

Kathmandu, 21 January: The Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Maha Prasad Adhikari, has criticized the businessmen saying that agitation for non-payment of loans is a financial crime. He said that a new challenge has emerged in the financial system due to such kind of agitation. He was referring to businessmen protesting against the high interest rates.

Governor Adhikari while addressing  the 56th Annual General Meeting of Agricultural Development Bank this afernoon directed agitating businessmen to stop the protest and timely pay loans and interests of the banks. He objected to the agitating businessmen, saying that they were exhibiting anarchic  behavior.
