
Kathmandu, 15 January: It has been revealed that 15 foreign nationals, including five Indians, were in the plane crash of Yeti Airlines in Pokhara this morning. It has also been confirmed that there are 53 Nepali passengers. All passengers and crew members are feared to be dead. At least 36 dead bodies have been recovered, according to officials.
The twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft operated by Yeti Airlines was carrying 68 passengers, including 15 foreign nationals, and four crew members, Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement. The foreigners included five Indians, four Russians, two South Koreans, and one each from Ireland, Australia, Argentina and France.
It was not immediately clear what caused the plane to crash. Details are awaited.
