Kathmandu, 13 January: The Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL), which is adding new dimensions in the field of digital banking, has added new feature in its services with the aim of making its mobile banking App MBL M Smart more secure and reliable.
In order to reduce various suspicious activities and unauthorized transactions seen through mobile banking App recently and to keep customers safe, the bank has added SMS authentication technology with high security alert for the first time in Nepal to its mobile banking App MBLM Smart, as per a press release issued by the bank.
According to the bank, most unauthorized transactions are currently being done through OTP share in mobile banking. It has been found that hackers are doing large-scale unauthorized transactions by making them share the OTP received on their mobiles by showing the temptation of various lucky draws, huge lottery amount.
With the introduction of this technology by the MBL, the possibility of getting access to mobile banking by receiving OTP from the customer has been halted. With the addition of this service, the mobile banking service of the MBL has become more secure and reliable.
