
Kathmandu, 10 January: Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal has received 268 votes in favour of confidence to the government led by him.
Out of 270 MPs present during the voting, 268 MPs cast their votes in favour of the government.
Rastriya Janamorcha’s Chitra Bahadur KC and Nepal Majdoor Party’s Prem Silwal cast their votes against the government.
Senior MP Pashupati Shumsher Rana, who is performing the role of the speaker, didn’t cast his vote.
Nepali Congress MPs Kishorsingh Rathour, Ambika Basnet and Manorama Serchan were absent during the voting. NC MP Tek Bahadur Gurung is suspended, therefore, he was absent.
Nepali Congress, UML, Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party, Unified Socialist Party, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and three independent MPs cast their votes in favour of the government.
