Kathmandu, 8 January: The draft of the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) prepared by a taskforce has been submitted to the top leaders of the ruling parties on Saturday. The taskforce submitted the draft to the top leaders at the Prime Minister’s residence.
The taskforce submitted the draft to Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister and Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden, Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut and Nagarik Unmukti Party Chairperson Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhary.
The ruling parties had formed the taskforce on December 29, 2022 to prepare the common minimum programme. The taskforce is led by CPN (UML) Vice-chairman and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Poudel. The other leaders in the taskforce are CPN (Maoist Centre) assistant general secretary Barsha Man Pun, Rastriya Swatantra Party general secretary Mukul Dhakal, Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s leader Dhawal Shumsher Rana and Janata Samajwadi Party leader Rakam Chemjong.
