
Kathmandu, 8 January: Chairman of the Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL)Chandra Prasad Dhakal has said that with becoming the largest bank of the country, work and responsibilities have increased.
He said this while talking to media persons during a walkathon organized to mark the joint operation of Global IME Bank and Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) on Saturday. Following the merger with the BoK, joint operation will be started under the name of Global IME Bank Limited from tomorrow.

Dhakal said, “Global IME Bank and Bank of Kathmandu merged to become the largest bank in Nepal. We will take about 10 percent share in the banking sector. In the 16 years since the bank was established, we have become the largest bank in Nepal. We will advance our quality and service in an agile and sound manner in the days to come. We will proceed to make our bank a bank for all Nepalis”.
