Kathmandu, 5 January: More than 300 Chinese vehicles imported by Nepali businessmen have entered the country through Rasuwagadhi pass. From the month of July of the current financial year, 350 vehicles of various types have entered the country through the Friendship Bridge of Lhende River in Rasuwagadhi. According to security personnel working in the border area, among the vehicles that have entered the country are 132 electric cars, 82 electric vans, 11 Hilux vehicles, two loader equipment and 78 fuel cars.
Most of the imported vehicles are yet to complete customs procedures and those vehicles are currently kept at Ghatekhola and Timure areas near Rasuwagadhi. Comparing the five months from July to November of the current financial year along with the vehicles, ready clothing materials are 639, hydro materials 366, apples 93, walnuts 38, garlic 22, motor parts 2, electric parts 17, telephone materials 7, pear 11 tips. In addition, five truckloads of materials including wooden furniture have been imported.
It is said that the materials were brought into Nepal by a Chinese big tailor and when it was turned over in a Nepalese container, it was more than 2500 trips. With the start of the Covid infection, even though the movement of Lhendekhola between Nepal and China through Miteripul was stopped, the goods have been brought into Nepal by Chinese big trippers by Chinese drivers.
Every day, Chinese goods are imported twice in the morning and the afternoon, and before the goods are brought in, the doors of both countries are opened and medicines are sprayed for disease prevention while bringing Chinese goods from Kerung to Rasuwagadi The security personnel of the border area have informed that as often as the goods arrive, medicines related to disease eradication are sprayed.
