
Kathmandu, 3 December: In a bid to promote digital banking and expanding simple and convenient services in every locations of the country, Machhapuchhre Bank Limited (MBL) has launched QR code service in Palpa-based Bhairavanath Temple. The temple is a famous religious tourist spot in Tansen. Scores of devotees visit the temple every day, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The MBL jointly handed over the QR code to Govind Prasad Pokharel through Chairman of Ribdikot Rural Municipality Narayan Bahadur Karki and Narayan KC, Head of Lumbini Province No. 5 amid a in a formal programme held at the holy shrine recently.
After the launch of service, devotees coming to the temple will be able to make offerings through the QR code without paying any extra charges. As an alternative to cash, the use of QR code is increasing among common people due to its innovative and easy to use.
