Kathmandu, 2 January: Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapalia has said that preparations are being made to hold the election of the new President and Vice President in Falgun (mid-February to mid-March). He said that since the tenure of President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun will end at the end of Falgun, the elections for both posts should be held in Falgun.
“We have enough time to hold elections of the President and Vice President. We can complete the election in Falgun itself. There is no problem with that”, Thapalia said.
“If there is an agreement between the political parties, we can hold the election of President and Vice President in Falgun”, he said.
