Kathmandu, 2 January: Despite the Parliament Committee’s recommendation to reduce the ministries, the government is under pressure to increase ministries by splitting different ministries to give a share in the cabinet to the alliance partners.
Two months ago, the Parliament Committee in the National Assembly recommended reducing the existing ministries to 15 for cutting down unnecessary expenditures.
Currently, there are 22 ministries. However, to manage the alliance partners, the government is attempting to split three ministries by reaching a total of 25 ministries.
