China pledges to build trans-Himalayan Multi-Dimensional Connectivity Network

Kathmandu, 2 January: The Charge de Affaires of the Chinese Embassy Wang Xin has said that the arrival of Chinese tourists would greatly contribute to Nepal Tourism Decade (2023-2033) strategic action plan.

Addressing the inaugural function of Pokhara  International Airport  on Sunday, Wang informed that China would resume the outbound travel of Chinese citizens in orderly manner after January 8, which is expected to contribute to Nepal’s tourism promotion.

“Under the guidance of the two heads of state, we will jointly build the trans-Himalayan Multi-Dimensional Connectivity Network, and let the BRI cooperation bear fruitful results,” Wang said adding, “The expert team for the feasibility study & survey of China-Nepal Cross-Border Railway arrived in Nepal, marking important step in the construction of this ‘sky road’. Nepal’s dream from a ‘land-locked country’ to a ‘land-linked country’ will finally come true.”
