Kathmandu, 30 December: 221 security personnel deployed for the security of former VIPs and others by violating the Security Management Action Plan 2077 have been returned to their concerned forces.
The Home Ministry had issued a notice to return security personnel used by former VIPs and others violating the rule within 48 hours.
63 security personnel from the Nepal Police deployed under the Home Ministry were returned on Wednesday.
Accordingly, 31 others deployed under the Home Ministry and six security personnel deployed for the security of former police officials have also been returned.
Likewise, 118 security personnel deployed by the Armed Police Force for the security of former VIPs and others have been returned on Thursday.
Many former officials and political leaders were keeping the security personnel under personal political influence.
