Kathmandu, 25 December: President Bidya Devi Bhandari, as per the Article 76 (2) of Constitution appointed Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of the CPN Maoist Centre as Prime Minister. She will administer him oath of office and secrecy at 4 pm tomorrow, a source at the President’s Office informed People’s Review awhile ago.
Earlier, Chairman Dahal, who has submitted a claim to the President to become the Prime Minister, has received support of 169 MPs. Dahal submitted a letter to the President with the support of CPN-UML, CPN Maoist Center, Rashtriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janta Samajbadi Party, Janmaat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and three independent MPs.
