India exhibits vehement attitude, starts constructing gabions to change course of Mahakali River

Kathmandu, 23 December: Violating a recent bilateral agreement not to construct any structures at the Mahakali River to change its natural course, the Indian side has again moved forward with construction of gabions in Darchula.

India is working unilaterally to build gabions to turn the bank of the Mahakali river towards Nepal , as per media reports.  Aman Bohra, a local resident of Bangabagar area of ​​Mahakali municipality-4 said that on Thursday, the Indian side resumed work to divert the natural flow of the Mahakali River towards Nepal.
