Prachanda requests Deuba to make him the PM 

Kathmandu, 17 December: Maoist Center chair Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda today has urged Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba for the latter’s support to make him the prime minister of the new coalition government. 

In today’s meeting with Deuba at Baluatar, PM’s official residence, Prachanda has put forward this proposal seeking Deuba’s support for him becoming the PM.

Prachanda appreciated Deuba for successfully running the coalition government and conducting local, provincial and federal parliament elections and requested Deuba to allow the former to lead the new coalition government. 

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Prachanda had requested Deuba for his support in making Prachanda the new PM. 

This is the first time that Prachanda has put forward a formal proposal to Deuba, however, Prachanda was claiming to lead the government from different public forums. 

Deuba, responding to Prachanda, had said that he would consult with partners in alliance on the issue. 

Deuba is also willing to lead the new coalition government.
