
Kathmandu, 13 December: The Supreme Court (SC) Bar Association has condemned the ordinance brought by the government to grant amnesty for Nagarik Unmukti Party leader Resham Chaudhary and other rebels by withdrawing cases of heinous crimes.
Issuing a statement it has commented that the ordinance brought by the caretaker government to withdraw sub sub-judice cases by amending the law has made a mockery of constitutional supremacy, rule of law and SC precedents. It has urged the government to immediately withdraw the ordinance and maintain constitutional supremacy and rule of law.
