
Kathmandu, 10 December: Former Brigadier General of Nepali Army Baldevraj Mahat has reportedly committed suicide. He was found hanging in his own residence at Sirdi Colony in Budanilkanth- 9 this morning. He was 62.
Lieutenant General Narayan Silwal, Spokesperson of the Nepali Army, said that the cause of Mahat’s death has not been revealed. Mahat had retired from the Nepali Army five years ago. Mahat;s body was taken to TU Teaching Hospital Maharajganj for post-mortem. After the post-mortem, the family accepted Mahat’s body for cremation.
