Indian side closes Nepal-India bridge at Darchula

Kathmandu, 5 December: The Indian side has closed the international bridge over the Mahakali River connecting Nepal-India at Darchula.

The bridge was closed by the Indian side on Monday after stones were thrown between Nepali and Indian citizens on Sunday following the dispute over the construction of an embankment on the Mahakali River.

Rajesh Shahi, Police Inspector of the District Police Office, Darchula, said that Indians have closed the bridge over the Mahakali River since Monday morning after the incident on Sunday.
