
Kathmandu, 4 December: After India started building an embankment to change the course of the Mahakali river, the local residents of Bangabagar, Darchula have closed the suspension bridge connecting Nepal-India. A group of local women and men from Bangabagar has locked the bridge from 4 pm today.
Locals also pelted stones at the Indian workers who were involved in building embankment. Locals have said that the suspension bridge connecting Nepal-India has been locked following the construction.
