
Kathmandu, 2 December: After the students protested against the prohibitory orders issued by the District Administration Office, Kailali, the police fired one- and- a- half dozen tear gas shells to control the situation.
Locals and students dispersed after the police fired tear gas in the area around the place where the prohibition was imposed. In addition, the police detained 11 people including students and local women.
District Police Office Kailali Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Prakash Joshi said that after the protesting students and locals demonstrated, tear gas was fired to control the situation.
Despite the local administration issuing a prohibitory order after violent demonstration erupted over the death of a 15-year-old girl, Chetna Saud, who was hit by a grader, people have been protesting since morning demanding justice.
