Kathmandu, 1 December: The 20 November elections’ vote counting for Federal Parliament and Provincial Councils has almost been completed.
Now, vote counting in Sunsari 4 is in progress, whereas, vote counting in Syangja 2 has already been started. The Election Commission has already directed to start vote counting in Bajura, which was postponed due to the dispute. Also, re-voting in some booths in Dolakha is being conducted today (Thursday).
Out of the 165 constituencies, the result of 161 constituencies’ elected candidates through the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) has already been made public. In which, Nepali Congress has bagged 54 seats. The party has also become first in the provincial council elections. Out of 330 electoral constituencies in seven provinces, NC alone has bagged 105 seats.
UML is in the second position with 44 seats the party has won.
Maoist Center has bagged 17 seats through the FPTP election.
Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party have bagged seven seats each.
Unified Socialist Party has bagged 10 seats.
Janata Samajwadi Party has bagged seven seats.
Loktantrik Samajwadi Party has bagged 4 seats.
Nagarik Unmukti Party has bagged three seats.
Janamat Party, Nepal Majdoor Kishan Party and Rastriya Janamorcha have bagged one seat each.
