Kathmandu, 1 December: Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin. China’s former president Jiang passed away on Wednesday in Shanghai, at the age of 96.
Taking to twitter, President of Nepali Congress Deuba said, “I am deeply saddened by the passing away of former president of the People’s Republic of China Jiang Zemin. He was a great friend and well-wisher of Nepal. I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Government and the people of China and the bereaved family members.” It may be noted that Jiang had visited Nepal during his premiership in December 1996.
