Kathmandu, 26 November: Mahantha Thakur, who has been doing politics with special focus on Tarai/Madhes for some years, has secured a seat in the House of Representatives (HoR) from Rautahat-3. Chairman of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Thakur received 16,375 votes, according to chief returning officer, Hem Bahadur Sen. Thakur’s nearest rival Hari Narayan Yadav of Janata Samajbadi Party got 14,325 votes.
