
Kathmandu, 24 September: Rajendra Lingden, chair, Rastriya Prajatantra Party has defeated Nepali Congress leader Krishna Shitaula in Jhapa electoral constituency No 3 in the election of the member of parliament.
Along with Lingden’s victory, RPP has secured four seats in Parliament through FPTP (direct) election.
Lingden bagged 40 thousand 648 votes against Sataula’s 37 thousand 372 votes.
To note, Lingden is against the present secularism, federalism and republicanism, whereas, Sitaula is instrumental in introducing republicanism, federalism and secularism serving foreigners’ interests.
