Kathmandu, 20 November: General Secretary of Nepali Congress Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that preparations for the election of the leader of the parliamentary party will begin soon after he is elected as an MP. After voting in the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections on Sunday, Thapa said that he will start preparations for the Congress parliamentary party elections.
He said that he had given a direct signal to the voters that he is a candidate of next Prime Minister in case he wins the polls. He said that apart from the Nepali Congress, no other party would complete the formalities for the parliamentary party.
