Election Commission directs not to postpone voting in a minor dispute

Kathmandu, 20 November: The Election Commission has directed the polling officers not to postpone the voting on a minor dispute.

In some districts, voting is being postponed due to political parties, candidates or groups boycotting the election. However, the Commission has directed to restart the postponed voting work immediately and not to paste the notice of postponement till 5 pm.

The Commission wrote on Facebook, “…the Election Commission has directed all polling officers not to paste the notice of polling postponement till 5 pm. If it has to be postponed, the prior consent of the Election Commission will have to be taken.“
