Kathmandu, 14 September: The Supreme court has denied issuing an interim order for suspending Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate from Lalitpur electoral constituency No 3.
The Supreme Court issued a new order today continuing its previous interim order urging the Election Commission to not cancel House of Representatives candidate Karki.
Earlier, the Commission had cancelled her candidacy from Lalitpur 3 claiming she was found to be a member of the Nepal Medical Council, which can be deemed as a position with state benefits.
Karki had filed a petition at the apex court. The court had issued an interim order cancelling the Commission’s decision.
The Commission later had filed an appeal seeking an interim order against Karki’s candidature.
