Kathmandu, 3 November: According to a recent survey, there are 3496 squatters in the Kathmandu Valley, who are staying by occupying the government land in different places.
Earlier, the government had constructed three buildings with the plan of settling down 300 squatters’ families in Ichagunarayan Municipality in the Valley. However, the government could not execute the plan. Now again, it is thinking of shifting those squatters in the Valley to Ichugunarayan.
