Kathmandu, 30 October: Chhat Pooja is being observed today by performing a special pooja of the setting sun around the river banks and ponds. The Pooja will finally be concluded on Monday, 31 October by performing pooja of the rising sun.
The Chhat Pooja, especially performed by the Mithila community in the Madhesh Province is now being performed in the Hill districts, including the Kathmandu Valley.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari performed Chhat Pooja in Kathmandu.
