Kathmandu, 13 October: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today dismissed four ministers representing Janata Samajbadi Party.
Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Rajendra Shrestha, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Mohammad Istiyak Rai, Minister for Forest and Environment Pradeep Yadav and Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Mrigendra Kumar Singh have been dismissed from the cabinet headed by PM Deuba.
After JSP quit the five-party alliance and developed an electoral alliance with the UML, PM Deuba has taken such a decision.
Deuba, however, cannot assign new ministers as the election code of conduct has become effective.
Meanwhile, Minister for Law and Justice Gobinda Bandi has tendered his resignation after the dissolution of parliament. Bandi, who was not a member of parliament, was assigned minister under the constitutional provision of appointing a non-parliament member as minister for a maximum of six months’ tenure.
