Kathmandu, 6 October: The number of death in the Jitpur bus accident that took place this morning has reached 16.
A passenger bus bound for Birgunj from Hetauda met an accident at Jitpur, Simara in Bara District.
10 males and 6 females travelling on the bus died in the accident. The identity of those deceased is still unknown.
Eight injured people are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Hetauda. Other injured persons have been taken to Bharatpur and Birgunj for further treatment.
A bus with number plate 06-001 Kha 0110 was overturned 100 meters away from the highway.
