‘Political trust is increasing with Nepal’

Kathmandu, 20 September: Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi have respectively extended warm greetings to their Nepali counterparts on the occasion of Constitution Day also marked as National Day of Nepal.

In his  message to Bidya Devi Bhandari, Chinese President Xi said, “China and Nepal are good neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. Despite changes in the international situation, our two countries always respect, support and treat each other in a friendly manner.”

According to the China Radio International, Chinese President Xi has said that mutual political trust and traditional friendship with Nepal is increasing day by day. “Giving high importance to the development of China-Nepal relations, it is my wish to take the development and prosperity-oriented friendly strategic cooperative partnership to a new stage together with the honorable president,” he has mentioned in the message. President Xi, in his message, has also mentioned that China and Nepal were  jointly taking forward a high-quality joint Belt and Road concept (BRI) despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19  pandemic.
