Kathmandu, 19 September: Major political parties including the ruling Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN-UML have submitted closed lists of candidates for proportional representation (PR) electoral system to the Election Commission this afternoon.
Former vice-presidents of NC Bimalendra Nidhi and Gopal Man Shrestha long with central member Arzu Rana Deuba has been included in the PR list while Maoist Centre has its Vice-chairman Krishna Bahadur Mahara in the list. Interestingly, the list for House of Representatives also includes five candidates from Nepal Samajwadi Party led by Baburam Bhattarai.
