With the advent of the mid-term election and write-ups in the media calling upon the Chief Election Commissioner Bishnu Pratap Shah to be as bold as his famous Indian counter-part, T.N. Seshan, it was with some interest that one scanned through a letter from Nepal’s very first Chief Election Commissioner, Suberna Shumsher Rana to Shehan biographer K Govindan Kutty. Senior editor, Financial Express, New Delhi bombarded him with information on his own experiences.
