
Kathmandu, 3 September: Indian Army chief Gen Manoj Pande is arriving in Kathmandu tomorrow (Sunday) on a five-day formal visit to Nepal.
Gen Pande is visiting Nepal at the invitation of Chief of Army Staff Gen Prabhuram Sharma.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari, honorary supreme chief of the Nepal Army is scheduled to honour the Indian Army chief with the title of the General of Nepal Army.
Gen Pande is scheduled to pay a courtesy call to Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Likewise, assistance worth Rs 223.8 million including cannon maintenance parts, horses, simulators, explosives-resistant vehicles and necessary equipment for mobile hospitals will be handed over to the Nepal Army from India during the visit.
