Kathmandu, 29 August: A landslide that occurred due to incessant rainfall has buried a woman and her daughter to death at Pipalchaur in Aathbiskot Municipality in Rukum West.
The mother and the daughter were taking a shelter at a building of the community forest when the landslide buried them. The police have fortunately rescued a girl, another daughter of the woman, 12-year old Tirshana Rana, alive. The deceased are identified as Balmati Rana, 30, of Maidi in Bheri Municipality of Jajarkot district and her 2-year old daughter, Pratikshya. Tirshana has been taken to hospital for treatment.
