UML central committee meeting starting today

Kathmandu, 26 August: The two-day long central committee meeting of the UML is going to start today at the party’s headquarters in Chyashal, Lalitpur.

The politburo meeting held on Thursday had set the agendas for the central committee meeting. They are, developing the criteria for the candidates in the 20 November election, presentation of the political document by party chair K.P. Sarma Oli, among others. 

Briefing on the political document, Oli had informed the politburo meeting that the possibility of developing a left alliance during the election has been ended. 

However, the UML is likely to give the authority to the provincial and district committees for developing an alliance with other political parties based on necessity.
