Kathmandu, 21 August: A noted socialist thinker and NC lawmaker Pradeep Giri passed away Saturday night while undergoing treatment at the Midiciti Hospital in Nakhhu, Lalitpur.
He was 75.
He passed away at around 9:30 pm, according to the Hospital.
Giri, a cancer patient, of late, suffered from pneumonia, causing multi-organ failure.
Giri was undergoing treatment at the Mediciti Hospital since he returned from India last month after the treatment.
Presently, his dead body is kept at the Hospital for paying tribute by his admirers and relatives.
Later, his dead body will be kept at the Nepali Congress headquarters in Sanepa for some hours and finally, the last rites will be performed at the Aryaghat today.
