Kathmandu, 20 August: Maoist Center chairman Pushpakamal Dahal today nominated office bearers eight months after the national convention.
Dev Gurung has been assigned as the general secretary, the most powerful post in the party after the chairman.
The list of 21 office bearers was presented by the party chairman and the standing committee approved the chairman’s proposal.
Pampha Bhushal, Barshaman Pun, Janardan Sharma, Girirajmani Pokhrel, Haribol Gajurel, Shakti Basnet and Matrika Yadav are the deputy general secretary of the party.
Narayan Kaji Shrestha is the senior vice-chair and Krishna Bahadur Mahara is the vice chairman.
Lilamani Pokhrel, Dinanath Sharma, Chakrapani Khanal, Ram Karki, Ganesh Shah, Devendra Poudel, Dilaram Acharya, Hitman Shakya and Hitraj Pande are the secretaries.
Shreeram Dhakal has been assigned as the party’s treasurer.
