Kathmandu, 4 August: Supreme leaders in the alliance government have agreed to hold the Province Council and Federal Parliament elections on 4 November this year.
The cabinet meeting called for today is likely to announce the election date.
Meanwhile, the supreme leaders have decided to continue the tenure of the present Parliament until the nomination of the candidature. The present constitution is silent about the tenure of the MPs, however, constitutional and legal experts have opined that the tenure of the present parliament will end along with the announcement of the election date.
