Kathmandu, 26 July: Former secretary of His Majesty’s Government of Nepal, Durga Prakash Pandey passed away last week.
Late Pandey, father of Jyoti Pandey, CEO, NIBL, and Deepprakash Pandey, CEO, Shikhar Insurance Company, was an honest and capable administrator.
Late Pandey had done a Master’s degree in Political Science from Lakhnau University, India and studied tourism at Georgetown University in the USA.
The late Pandey had served in different government organs including the consul general of Nepal at the Consulate Office in Kolkata, India. He retired after serving as the secretary at the Commerce Ministry in 1990.
The late Pandey was decorated with the Suprasiddha Prabal Gorkha Daxin Bahu, Subikhyat Trishaktipatta Padak and Deergha Sewa Padak from His Majesty’s Government of Nepal.
Social worker and patriotic political activist Prabhat Raj Pandey has expressed deep sorrow over the sad demise of Pandey. He has extended heartfelt condolences to all the members of the bereaved family and wished for eternal peace for the departed soul.
Meanwhile, the People’s Review family prays for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expresses deep condolences to its well-wishers Jyoti and Deepprakash Panday and other members of the bereaved family.
