‘Communists are forging alliance because of the Congress’

Kathmandu, 22 July: Leader of Nepali Congress Ramchandra Paudel has claimed that the situation is being created to unite the leftists due to anti-alliance leaders within the party. He also revealed that the communists are going to form a grand alliance by isolating the Congress.

Leader Paudel, who reached Hetauda to participate in the opening program of the congress-affiliated sister organization Nepal Press Union, expressed concern that Congress is becoming isolated due to its own reasons. He said that the debate of communist unity is going on within the two main parties of the ruling coalition, the Maoist Center and the United Socialists, and he said that the international powers were also trying to isolate the Congress and form a grand alliance.

Pointing to the Shekhar Koirala group which opposed the alliance, Paudel also mentioned that the Congress has now taken the path of consensus, cooperation and unity of BP Koirala. Emphasizing that the alliance should be carried through to the elections, he insisted that only that will protect the nationality and democracy.
