Kathmandu, 21 July: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has directed the government to inform the Parliament about the decision taken by the Cabinet regarding the American State Partnership Program (SPP) and status of its implementation. After the lawmakers of the ruling party and the main opposition repeatedly raised the issue in Parliament, the Speaker directed the government to apprise the House.
Even when the cabinet decided not to implement the SPP agreement, the parliamentarians raised their voices saying that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not send a letter to the US. They demanded a ruling from the speaker.
